Vancouver single moms have a wonderful resource for help for many of their needs. Vancouver single moms can join Vancouver's YWCA Single Mothers' Support Services to access services for single moms and connect to the resources and support they need to move forward.

Being a single mom today is tough going. YWCA Single Mothers' Support Services offers a variety of services meant to be empowering and informative for Vancouver single moms and their children. YWCA Single Mothers' Support Services provides information and helps connect Vancouver single moms to resources they need.

YWCA Single Mothers' Support Services offers workshops and special events, and opportunities for Vancouver single moms to meet regularly with other single moms like themselves. Talking with other single moms who have been in similar situations can be a big help. They have faced similar problems and may offer helpful information and advice.

Member will:

*Be able to join a weekly single mothers group in a neighbourhood near where they live.

*Access information and resources needed to succeed.

*Meet other single moms and work together to overcome hurdles along the way to personal and economic independence.

*Read about and contribute to stories important to Metro Vancouver single moms in the Single Mothers' Hotsheet.

*Benefit from the many resources of YWCA Vancouver.

YWCA Vancouver was founded over 100 years ago and has grown and flourished because of the energy and commitment of the community. Today YWCA Vancouver is one of the largest and most diversified non-profits in Metro Vancouver. They help over 50,000 people annually. They continue to adapt to changing social complexities by developing and maintaining programs and services for the health of the community.

Through their work, they touch lives and help build better futures for women and their families through advocacy and integrated services. They are committed to fostering economic independence, wellness and equal opportunities.

One of the great services they offer is Vancouver Jobs. The YWCA has five employment centres to help Vancouver single moms and other jobseekers find the perfect job. They provide free employment and career services for jobseekers from 15 to 65+ years. They have specialized workshops and support for immigrants and women returning to work.
